Almost anatomy by Lauren Squires
The sticky smell of formalin; bloodstains everywhere; scalpel, scissors, gauzes and dissecting cadavers - these are the things we use while understanding the human anatomy. This is basically the life of a medical student.
The Australian artist and medical student Lauren Squires takes the raw anatomy and reveals its true beauty, explaining her work in her own words:
“Medical knowledge meets a keen eye for colour, a wicked sense of humour, and a love for the unpredictability of watercolour painting. The result is something truely unique.”
